The Chesterfield Historical Society and Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer an Alice in Wonderland-themed program to honor author Lewis Carroll. The writer of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass lived from 1832 to 1898 and was born on January 27th (so, the program will celebrate his “un-birthday”).
This event is designed to give mothers and daughters a day out to share together. Guests can expect to hear a reading of excerpts from Alice in Wonderland, take part in a craft activity, and enjoy refreshments. For grades 1-3. Admission is $5 per child; parents’ admission is free. Each child must be accompanied by an adult, and reservations are required. Please go to www.chesterfieldhistory.com by Friday, January 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. to register.
