Historian, Attorney & Author Eric Wittenberg will be sharing the action and stories from his new book, “Six Days of Awful Fighting: Cavalry Operations on the Road to Cold Harbor” at the March Civil War Roundtable at Pamplin Historical Park. He will begin with cavalry fighting on May 27-June 1 which pitted the Cavalry Corps of the Army of the Potomac against the Cavalry Corps of the Army of Northern Virginia in places called Hanovertown, Haw’s Shop, Matadequin Creek, Hanover Court House and Ashland before ever getting to Cold Harbor. Wittenberg has written 22 books on the Civil War. The Roundtable meets on the 1st Thursday of each month at Pamplin Historical Park.
